SUMMARY:Annual One Fly Tournament
DESCRIPTION:Fishing using one fly only (for reference – high tide is at 9:03 AM at Henlopen Flats). We will meet at the Rolling Meadows Clubhouse at 7:30 AM and depart at 8 AM for fishing. Bring two identical flies with you – one goes into a container (to be awarded to the winner) and one goes into an envelope and into a pool to be distributed 1 ea. to participants prior to leaving the clubhouse. Fishing must be done in DE or MD salt water. If you lose your fly for any reason you’re out of the tournament\, but fish caught prior to the loss will count. All participants must return to the clubhouse for 1 PM check-in – optional if you’ve lost your fly or caught no fish\, but there will be a lunch cookout following check-in at the clubhouse.

SUMMARY:Bass\, Pickerel & Crappie Contest
DESCRIPTION:Bass\, Pickerel and Crappie Fly Fishing Contest – new for 2026 in that the two contests (spring and fall) are now one. This members-only catch and release contest has been moved from a Saturday to a Friday to avoid any crowding at any particular pond. Fishing must start no earlier than sunrise ([7:18 AM] as dictated by DNREC rules) and ends at 2 PM. There will still be only one category – Boat\, but it includes kayaks\, in teams of two. All fishing must be done in Kent and/or Sussex County DNREC ponds (see their website for a list) and/or their spillways in accordance with DE state regulations. All fish entered must be logged in on club-supplied log sheets to record species and sizes. We will gather at 3 PM at the Bella Capri restaurant on Rte. 113 in Georgetown for a late lunch to announce the winners. Log sheets must be turned in at that time. Log sheets and rules will be sent to each member via e-mail prior to the contest.
